I, NGet Sochheat, the founder of SMILE KID International School, established the school in response to clear gaps in the quality and inclusiveness of Cambodia’s educational system. While the Cambodian Government—through the Ministry of Education—has made strong progress by developing sub-decrees, national inclusive strategic plans, and new laws, several areas still require significant improvement, particularly in:

• Special Education
• Early Childhood Education
• English Programs, especially in remote areas.

In collaboration with dedicated teachers who share this vision, I founded this school with a deep sense of purpose and a strong conscience: to help children living in difficult circumstances receive comprehensive services and equal opportunities—just like all other children. Recognizing these urgent needs, we established the school to provide top-quality, caring, Loving and inclusive education—with a special focus on children with special needs.
